it's a week before christmas, and here in newtown, connecticut, many families aren't planning for the holidays but planning funerals and there are several planned in the weeks to come. it's back to school for the children of newtown, connecticut with the exception of the students of sandy hook elementary school. kenneth canfield is a fourth greater at sandy hook. he heard screaming and gunshots in the room he was in. >> it was being banged on by the gunman. >> reporter: kenneth and his classmates won't be returning to sandy hook elementary. when they do go back, they will attend chalk hill school in monroe. >> he said he wouldn't go back unless there's a police officer at every door. >> reporter: for the people of newtown, the grieving continues. more funerals will be held today when james mattioli and jessica rico also laid to rest. the first two funerals were held monday when 6-year-old noah posner and jack pinto were remembered. >> you shouldn't be at a 6-year- old's funeral. this is a devastating event and it's heartbreaking as it is, it just keeps getting more heartbreaking. >> r
